वायुदेव उवाच शृणु राजन् यथा वाक्यमुक्तो राजा सुयोधन: । मध्ये कुरूणां राजेन्द्र सभायां तन्निबोध मे,श्रीकृष्ण बोले--राजेन्द्र! मैंने कौरवसभामें राजा दुर्योधनसे जिस प्रकार बातें की हैं, वह बताता हूँ; सुनिये
Vāyudeva uvāca: śṛṇu rājan yathā vākyam ukto rājā Suyodhanaḥ | madhye Kurūṇāṁ rājendra sabhāyāṁ tan nibodha me ||
Vāyudeva dit : « Écoute, ô Roi. Je vais te dire exactement quelles paroles furent adressées au roi Suyodhana, au milieu des Kurus, dans l’assemblée royale. Comprends-le de ma bouche. »
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse foregrounds ethical responsibility in political speech: what is said in a royal assembly—before elders and peers—carries weight and consequences, so truthful, precise reporting and attentive listening are presented as prerequisites for judging dharma in a dispute.
Vāyudeva announces that he will recount, in exact terms, the exchange addressed to King Suyodhana in the Kuru court, setting up a report of crucial diplomatic or admonitory speech delivered in the public assembly.
