Educational Q&A

Happiness depends on dharmic conduct and disciplined effort; those who are base in character—idle, untrained, and inclined to blameworthy actions—gain neither worldly welfare nor posthumous good.

A son speaks a moral judgment about the fate of ‘base men,’ emphasizing that taking satisfaction in uneducated, undisciplined descendants is self-defeating because such heirs do not perform worthy deeds and thus bring no benefit in this world or the next.
