Krishna’s Theophanic Display in the Kuru Assembly
The verse highlights ethical vigilance: a wise person quickly discerns harmful intentions and does not remain naïve before deceit. Discernment (buddhi) becomes a protective aspect of dharma in times of conflict.
In Vaiśampāyana’s narration, Sātyaki is described as perceptive and intelligent; he promptly understands and detects the wicked, sinful plan formed by certain wrongdoers.
