Krishna’s Theophanic Display in the Kuru Assembly
Vidura warns against arrogant reliance on coercion: one cannot subdue the righteous and divinely protected (here, Kṛṣṇa) through brute force. Ethical governance requires restraint, discernment, and respect for dharma rather than prideful compulsion.
In the tense lead-up to war, Vidura rebukes the idea of forcibly controlling or arresting Kṛṣṇa. He points out that even a powerful aggressor who tried with all efforts failed to seize Kṛṣṇa, so attempting to overpower Him now is both futile and morally misguided.
