संनिधौ ते महाराज क्रोधजं पापबुद्धिजम् । 'परंतु भारत! महाराज! आपके समीप मैं क्रोध अथवा पापबुद्धिसे होनेवाला यह निन्दित कर्म नहीं प्रारम्भ करूँगा
sannidhau te mahārāja krodhajaṁ pāpabuddhijam |
«Mais, ô descendant de Bharata, ô grand roi, en ta présence même je ne mettrai pas en branle cet acte blâmable—né de la colère et issu d’une intention pécheresse.»
