त एतदीदृशं कुर्युर्यथा त्वं तात मन्यसे । “तात! जिसे तुम ठीक समझते हो, ऐसा अधम कार्य तो वे लोग करते हैं, जो नीच कुलमें उत्पन्न हुए हैं तथा जो दुष्टचित्त, क्रूर एवं निर्लज्ज हैं
te etadīdṛśaṃ kuryur yathā tvaṃ tāta manyase |
Vaiśaṃpāyana dit : «Mon enfant, ils agiraient précisément de la manière que toi, cher, tu juges convenable.» Ce vers souligne que la voie proposée se pèse à l’aune du discernement et de la bienséance, invitant tacitement à réfléchir à ce qui est digne et à ce qui est vil.
