Kṛṣṇa’s Ethical Counsel to Duryodhana

Educational Q&A

Merit is not merely private; it is socially and cosmically acknowledged. The verse frames righteous attainment as something that naturally draws honor, joyful celebration, and affectionate reception—an ethical reminder that dharmic conduct culminates in fitting recognition.

Nārada describes a heavenly reception: groups of Gandharvas and Apsarases sing and dance, while celestial drums resound, as the person being spoken of is welcomed in Svarga with delight and honor.
