ततो हि वरणं कार्य द्विजानां भरतर्षभ | सर्वकामैर्यथान्यायं साधुभिश् पृथग्विधै:
tato hi varaṇaṁ kārya dvijānāṁ bharatarṣabha | sarvakāmair yathānyāyaṁ sādhubhiḥ pṛthagvidhaiḥ ||
Ainsi donc, ô taureau parmi les Bhārata, il est juste de choisir et d’honorer les « deux-fois-nés » (les brāhmanes). Les hommes de vertu doivent, selon la justice et la règle établie, les vénérer comme il convient, en comblant leurs divers souhaits et besoins par tous les moyens appropriés.»
