Indra and Dharma’s Consolation; Celestial Gaṅgā Purification
True dharma is shown by prioritizing others’ welfare over one’s own comfort. The willingness to share suffering for the sake of one’s brothers is presented as a decisive proof of inner purity (viśuddhi) and freedom from sin (vigata-kalmaṣa).
The speaker explains that the protagonist has undergone a third moral test: he chose to remain in a painful realm for the benefit of his brothers rather than accept personal happiness. This choice confirms his righteousness and he is declared purified and sinless.
