वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse frames Yudhiṣṭhira’s dharmic steadfastness as something that draws divine recognition: the gods, led by Indra, come to him. Ethically, it suggests that unwavering commitment to dharma is ultimately acknowledged beyond immediate suffering or confusion.
Immediately after Yudhiṣṭhira has remained standing at that place for only a short while, the gods arrive there, with Indra at their head—setting the stage for divine reassurance and Yudhiṣṭhira’s transition toward the heavenly realm.
