Book 12, Chapter 93 — Vāmadeva’s Counsel to King Vasumanā on Dharmic Kingship (धर्मप्रधान-राजधर्मोपदेशः)
भीष्म उवाच अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम् । गीत॑ दृष्टार्थतत्त्वेन वामदेवेन धीमता,भीष्मजीने कहा--राजन्! इस विषयमें लोग तत्त्वज्ञानी महात्मा वामदेवजीद्वारा दिये हुए उपदेशरूप एक प्राचीन इतिहासका उदाहरण दिया करते हैं
bhīṣma uvāca | atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṁ purātanam | gītaṁ dṛṣṭārthatattvena vāmadevena dhīmatā ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Ici encore, ô roi, l’on cite en exemple un antique récit traditionnel : un enseignement sous forme de chant, jadis énoncé par le sage Vāmadeva, qui avait directement réalisé la vérité et l’essence de la question.»
