इति वाचा मधुरया शलक्ष्णया सोपचारया । स्वरश्मीनभ्यवसृजेद् योगमाधाय कालवित्
iti vācā madhurayā śalakṣṇayā sopacārayā | svaraśmīn abhyavasṛjed yogam ādhāya kālavit ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Ainsi, par une parole douce, lisse et courtoise, celui qui connaît le moment et la circonstance doit avancer avec une stratégie mesurée : qu’il envoie ses agents avec une persuasion bienveillante et des moyens appropriés, plutôt qu’avec dureté, lorsqu’il organise la collecte de richesses auprès des foyers pour les besoins du royaume.»
