अरणीमग्निकामो वा मथ्नाति हृदयं मम । वाचा दुरुक्तं देवर्षे तन्मे दहति नित्यदा,देवर्ष! जैसे अग्निको प्रकट करनेकी इच्छावाला पुरुष अरणीकाष्ठका मन्थन करता है, उसी प्रकार इन कुटुम्बीजनोंका कटुवचन मेरे हृदयको सदा मथता और जलाता रहता है
araṇīm agnikāmo vā mathnāti hṛdayaṃ mama | vācā duruktaṃ devarṣe tan me dahati nityadā ||
Vāyu dit : «Ô rishi divin ! De même que l’homme qui veut faire naître le feu frotte les bois d’araṇi, ainsi les paroles dures qu’on me lance ne cessent de brasser mon cœur ; cette parole mal dite, ô sage, me brûle continuellement.»
