Chapter 78: Royal Responsibility for Wealth, Social Order, and the Protection of Dvijas
Kekaya Exemplum
This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it situates the material within the Mahābhārata’s instruction on rājadharma (the ethical and practical duties of kings) and marks the completion of a chapter in the Kaikeya episode.
The text is closing a chapter: it announces that, within the Śānti Parva’s rājadharma instruction section, the seventy-seventh chapter of the Kaikeyopākhyāna has concluded.
