श्री: सम्भूता यतो देवी पत्नी धर्मस्य धीमत: । उस समय भगवान्‌ विष्णुके ललाटसे एक सुवर्णमय कमल प्रकट हुआ, जिससे बुद्धिमान्‌ धर्मकी पत्नी श्रीदेवीका प्रादुर्भाव हुआ

śrīḥ sambhūtā yato devī patnī dharmasya dhīmataḥ |

Bhīṣma dit : De ce lotus d’or apparu sur le front du Seigneur Viṣṇu naquit la déesse Śrī, connue comme l’épouse du sage dieu Dharma. Le passage souligne que la prospérité et l’auspice (Śrī) ne sont pas des gains dus au hasard : elles procèdent d’une source divine accordée au dharma et ne s’enracinent justement que lorsqu’elles sont unies à la droiture.
