Vaiśampāyana dit : Ayant compris la voie de dévotion (bhakti-yoga) de Bhīṣma, la Personne suprême se leva aussitôt, rempli de joie, et monta sans tarder sur son véhicule (char).
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical posture of receptivity: when genuine devotion and spiritual discipline are recognized (here, Bhīṣma’s bhakti-yoga), the proper response is joyful readiness and respectful action rather than hesitation. It models how wisdom received from a venerable source should move one toward prompt, purposeful conduct.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Puruṣottama (Śrī Kṛṣṇa), having grasped Bhīṣma’s teaching on bhakti-yoga, immediately rises with delight and mounts his chariot—signaling a transition from listening/understanding to decisive movement in the unfolding events.
