यत्र देवो महाबाहु: शाश्वतः पुरुषोत्तम: । अनादिनिधनो विप्र किमाश्नर्यमत: परम्
yatra devo mahābāhuḥ śāśvataḥ puruṣottamaḥ | anādinidhano vipra kim āścaryam ataḥ param ||
Le Nāga dit : «Ô brāhmaṇa, quelle merveille pourrait être plus grande que celle-ci : que dans l’éclat extraordinaire du Soleil demeure l’éternel Puruṣottama, aux bras puissants, sans commencement ni fin ? De lui naissent les multiples semences de la vie, et par son soutien cette terre entière, avec tout ce qui est mobile et immobile, est maintenue. Si Nārāyaṇa lui-même resplendit dans l’orbe du Soleil, qu’est-ce qui pourrait surpasser cela en merveille ?»
