Prāyaścitta-vidhāna: Tapas, Dāna, Vrata, and Proportional Expiation (प्रायश्चित्तविधानम्)
गणग्रामाभिशस्तानां रड्ढरस्त्रीजीविनां तथा
gaṇagrāmābhiśastānāṁ raḍḍharastrījīvināṁ tathā
Vyāsa dit : «De même, ceux que l’on voue publiquement au blâme comme membres de bandes violentes et de troupes prédatrices, et ceux qui vivent en exploitant les femmes, tombent eux aussi sous une lourde réprobation morale.»

The verse condemns socially harmful livelihoods—organized predation and exploitation—marking them as adharma and worthy of public censure.
In Vyāsa’s discourse on conduct and social ethics, he lists categories of people whose actions are considered blameworthy, extending the moral critique to gang-like violence and those who profit from exploiting women.
