केचिदध्ययने युक्ता वेदब्रतपरा: शुभा: । बुद्धिमन्तो गता: स्वर्ग तुष्टात्मानो जितेन्द्रिया:
kecid adhyayane yuktā vedavrataparāḥ śubhāḥ | buddhimanto gatāḥ svargaṃ tuṣṭātmāno jitendriyāḥ ||
Le brahmane dit : «Certains, voués à l’étude sacrée et fermes dans les vœux auspices prescrits par le Veda, sages d’intelligence, l’âme satisfaite et maîtres de leurs sens, ont obtenu une demeure au ciel.»
