Nāga-āyatana-darśana-pratīkṣā — The Brāhmaṇa’s Request and Waiting on the Gomatī
सर्वाश्रमाभिगमन सर्वतीर्थावगाहनम् । न तथा फलदं चापि नारायणकथा यथा
sarvāśramābhigamanaṁ sarvatīrthāvagāhanam | na tathā phaladaṁ cāpi nārāyaṇakathā yathā ||
Janamejaya dit : «Même parcourir tous les ermitages des sages et se baigner à tous les gués sacrés ne donne pas un fruit égal à celui que confère le récit de Nārāyaṇa. Écouter et transmettre l’histoire du Seigneur surpasse, par son efficacité spirituelle, les pèlerinages extérieurs.»
