क्रतुवधप्राप्तमन्युना च दक्षेण भूयस्तपसा चात्मानं संयोज्य नेत्राकृतिरन्या ललाटे रुद्रस्योत्पादिता
Translation
Sous l’emportement né de la ruine du sacrifice, et parce que Dakṣa, par une ascèse plus grande encore, rassembla de nouveau sa propre puissance, une autre forme—le signe d’un œil—fut produite sur le front de Rudra. Ainsi Dakṣa Prajāpati, irrité de ce que Rudra eût détruit son yajña, accomplit une austérité formidable et fit paraître sur le front de Rudradeva la marque du troisième œil.
