धर्मद्वारबहुत्वविमर्शः — Reflection on the Many ‘Doors’ of Dharma (Śānti-parva 342)

अद्न: क्षये ललाटाच्च सुतो देवस्य वै तथा । क्रोधाविष्टस्य संजज्ञे रुद्र: संहारकारक:,ब्रह्माका दिन बीतनेपर क्रोधके आवेशमें आये हुए उस देवके ललाटसे उनके पुत्ररूपमें संहारकारी रुद्र प्रकट हुए

adnaḥ kṣaye lalāṭāc ca suto devasya vai tathā | krodhāviṣṭasya saṃjajñe rudraḥ saṃhārakārakaḥ ||

Arjuna dit : «Quand le jour toucha à sa fin, du front de ce dieu—submergé par la colère—s’éleva, comme son propre fils, Rudra, l’agent de la destruction. Ce passage montre que la fureur sans maîtrise, même chez un être divin, déchaîne des forces de dissolution, et avertit que la colère non réglée par le dharma devient cause de ruine.»
