धर्मद्वारबहुत्वविमर्शः — Reflection on the Many ‘Doors’ of Dharma (Śānti-parva 342)
योअसौ योनिर्हि सर्वस्य स्थावरस्य चरस्य च । जिनके प्रसादसे ब्रह्मा और क्रोधसे रुद्र प्रकट हुए हैं, वे श्रीहरि ही सम्पूर्ण चराचर जगतकी उत्पत्तिके कारण हैं
yo 'sau yonir hi sarvasya sthāvarasya carasya ca | yasya prasādād brahmā ca krodhād rudraḥ prajāyate, sa śrīhariḥ sarva-carācara-jagata utpatti-kāraṇam ||
Arjuna dit : Celui qui est véritablement le sein et la source de toute existence—de l’immobile comme du mobile—par la grâce duquel Brahmā se manifeste et de la colère duquel Rudra surgit : ce Śrī Hari, lui seul, est la cause de l’origine de l’univers tout entier, de tout ce qui se meut et de tout ce qui demeure immobile.
