कामान्‌ कामी लभेत्‌ काम॑ दीर्घ चायुरवाप्रुयात्‌ ब्राह्मण: सर्ववेदी स्यात्‌ क्षत्रियो विजयी भवेत्‌

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

kāmān kāmī labhet kāmaṁ dīrghaṁ cāyur avāpnuyāt |

brāhmaṇaḥ sarvavedī syāt kṣatriyo vijayī bhavet ||

Vaiśampāyana dit : Celui qui est porté par le désir obtient les objets désirés et acquiert aussi une longue vie. Le brāhmaṇa devient connaisseur de tous les Veda, et le kṣatriya devient victorieux.
