धर्मस्य बहुद्वारत्वम् — Nārada’s Audience with Indra (Śānti-parva 340)
वासवि: सुसहायो वै मम त्वेको भविष्यति । युधिष्िरं स्थापयिष्ये स्वराज्ये भ्रातृभि: सह
vāsaviḥ susahāyo vai mama tv eko bhaviṣyati | yudhiṣṭhiraṃ sthāpayiṣye svarājye bhrātṛbhiḥ saha ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Arjuna, fils d’Indra, sera mon unique compagnon de confiance et mon aide la plus sûre. Avec son appui, je rétablirai Yudhiṣṭhira—avec ses frères—dans la souveraineté qui lui revient.»
(भीष्म उवाच
The verse emphasizes dharmic kingship: rightful sovereignty should be restored and upheld through trustworthy alliances and capable support, so that political order aligns with legitimacy and duty.
Bhīṣma declares that Arjuna (Indra’s son) will be his sole dependable ally, and that with such support he will reinstate Yudhiṣṭhira, along with his brothers, in their rightful rule.
