अध्याय ३३७ — ज्ञानमार्ग-वैविध्यप्रश्नः तथा व्यासस्य नारायणोद्भवकथा

स्वयं भागमुपाप्राय पुरोडाशं गृहीतवान् | अदृश्येन हृतो भागो देवेन हरिमेधसा,भगवान् हयग्रीवने स्वयं अदृश्य रहकर ही अपने लिये अर्पित पुरोडाशको ग्रहण किया और उसे सूँघकर अपने अधीन कर लिया
svayaṁ bhāgam upāprāya puroḍāśaṁ gṛhītavān | adṛśyena hṛto bhāgo devena harimedhasā ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Étant venu lui-même réclamer sa part légitime, il prit le gâteau sacrificiel (puroḍāśa). Cette portion assignée fut emportée invisiblement par un être divin à l’intelligence aiguë, semblable à Hari ; demeurant inaperçu, il accepta ce qui lui était offert et, d’un simple parfum, le soumit à son pouvoir.»
