देवतापितृप्रश्नः — Nārada at Badarīāśrama: the ultimate referent of daiva and pitṛ worship
न तेषां भवता कार्य न कार्य तव तैरपि । स्वकृतैस्तानि यातानि भवांश्वैव गमिष्यति,न उनका तुम कुछ कर सकते हो और न वे तुम्हारे किसी काम आ सकते हैं। वे अपने कर्मोके साथ चले गये और तुम भी चले जाओगे
na teṣāṃ bhavatā kārya na kārya tava tair api | svakṛtais tāni yātāni bhavāṃś caiva gamiṣyati ||
Vyāsa dit : «Tu ne peux plus rien faire pour eux, et eux non plus ne peuvent plus t’être d’aucune utilité. Ils sont partis en n’emportant que les conséquences de leurs propres actes ; et toi aussi tu partiras de la même manière.»
