Śānti-parva Adhyāya 30: Nārada–Parvata Samaya-bhaṅga, Śāpa, and the Marriage of Sukumārī
मातुलो भागिनेयश्व देवलोकादिहागतौ । विहर्तुकामौ सम्प्रीत्या मानुषेषु पुरा विभो,ये दोनों परस्पर मामा और भानजे लगते हैं! प्रभो! पहलेकी बात है ये दोनों महर्षि मनुष्यलोकमें भ्रमण करनेके लिये प्रेमपूर्वक देवलोकसे यहाँ आये थे
mātulo bhāgineyaś ca devalokād ihāgatau | vihartukāmau samprītyā mānuṣeṣu purā vibho ||
Śrī Kṛṣṇa dit : «Ils semblent liés l’un à l’autre comme un oncle maternel et le fils de sa sœur. Ô puissant ! Jadis, ces deux grands sages, mus par une affection réciproque et désireux d’errer parmi les humains, vinrent ici depuis le monde des dieux.»
