Haṃsa–Sādhya Saṃvāda: Satya, Dama, Kṣamā and the Discipline of Speech
A mind aimed at mokṣa should not be driven by attachment-based anxiety about relatives; one should cultivate detachment and trust that others will continue without one’s constant control or presence.
Bhīṣma, instructing on dharma and liberation in the Śānti Parva, counsels the listener to abandon worry about how one’s family will manage without oneself, because such concern contradicts a liberation-oriented resolve.
