Educational Q&A

True worth does not need self-advertisement. Qualities recognized by wise discernment may remain silent, yet they naturally become known through their effects—shining as reputation grounded in virtue rather than in self-praise.

Nārada continues a didactic reflection in the Śānti Parva, pointing to a general principle: many valuable qualities or exemplary cases do not speak about themselves, but are nevertheless acknowledged in society through the radiance of their earned renown.
