Kapila–Syūmaraśmi Saṃvāda

पुरोडाशो हि सर्वेषां पशूनां मेध्य उच्यते । सर्वा नद्य: सरस्वत्य: सर्वे पुण्या: शिलोच्चया:

puroḍāśo hi sarveṣāṁ paśūnāṁ medhya ucyate | sarvā nadyaḥ sarasvatyaḥ sarve puṇyāḥ śilocchayāḥ ||

Tulādhāra dit : «Le gâteau sacrificiel (puroḍāśa), préparé selon l’ordonnance des offrandes tirées des produits de tous les êtres, est déclaré purificateur. Dans le même esprit, tous les fleuves doivent être tenus pour des formes de Sarasvatī, et toutes les montagnes pour des hauteurs sacrées. Cet enseignement élargit le domaine du sacré : la pureté n’est pas enfermée dans une seule substance ni dans un lieu privilégié ; elle est reconnue partout où se trouvent la révérence prescrite et la juste conduite.»
