कपिलगोसंवादे गृहस्थ-त्यागधर्मयोः प्रमाण्यविचारः

फिर क्रमश: वे सब पक्षी बहुत दिनोंके लिये जाने और आने लगे, अब वे हृष्ट-पुष्ट और बलवान हो गये थे। अत: बाहर निकल जानेपर जल्दी नहीं लौटते थे ।।
kadācin māsamātreṇa samutpatya vihaṅgamāḥ | naivāgacchaṃs tato rājan prātiṣṭhata sa jājaliḥ ||
Bhīṣma dit : « Puis, peu à peu, ces oiseaux allèrent et vinrent durant de nombreux jours ; ils étaient devenus vigoureux, bien portants et forts, si bien qu’une fois sortis, ils ne revenaient plus promptement. Ô roi, un jour ces voyageurs du ciel s’envolèrent et ne revinrent pas durant un mois entier. Alors le sage Jājali quitta ce lieu et se mit en route vers ailleurs. »
