Disciplined observance of vows (saṁyama and vrata) supports a life where beings can flourish without fear; joy arises not from possession or harm, but from restraint and harmonious coexistence.
Jājali, steadfast in his vows, watches the birds’ young grow and fly. He feels deep happiness, and the parent birds, pleased at their offspring’s maturity, remain there fearlessly with their young.
