Kāla as Regulator; Pacification of Grief
Wealth is unstable and does not stay permanently with any individual; therefore one should, with faith, convert transient riches into lasting dharmic value through charity (dāna) and sacrificial/ritual offering (yajña).
Vaiśampāyana continues a didactic passage in Śānti Parva, presenting a moral reflection: recognizing the impermanence of possessions, people are urged to practice generosity and sacrificial giving as a proper social and spiritual use of wealth.
