अशब्दस्पर्शरूपं तदरसागन्धमव्ययम् | अशरीरं शरीरेषु निरीक्षेत निरिन्द्रियम्,वह आत्मतत्त्व यद्यपि शब्द, स्पर्श, रूप, रस और गन्धसे हीन, अविकारी तथा शरीर और इन्द्रियोंसे रहित है तो भी शरीरोंके भीतर ही इसका अनुसंधान करना चाहिये
aśabdasparśarūpaṃ tad arasāgandham avyayam | aśarīraṃ śarīreṣu nirīkṣeta nirindriyam ||
Vyāsa dit : Cette Réalité est dépourvue de son, de toucher et de forme ; elle est sans saveur ni odeur, et impérissable. Bien qu’elle soit sans corps et sans sens, elle doit être cherchée et discernée directement au sein des êtres incarnés — dans le champ même du corps — par l’enquête intérieure sur le Soi.
