भिक्षुलक्षणम्—एकचर्याः, अहिंसा, कैवल्याश्रमः

Marks of the Mendicant: Solitary Wandering, Non-Injury, and the Kaivalya-Discipline

आक्रीडानां गृहाणां च गदानामगदस्य च । प्रज्ञावन्त: प्रयोक्तारो ज्ञानवद्धिरनुछिता:

ākrīḍānāṁ gṛhāṇāṁ ca gadānām agadasya ca | prajñāvantaḥ prayoktāro jñānavaddhir anucchitāḥ ||

Vyāsa dit : Les lieux de jeu et les demeures sont façonnés avec intention ; de même, les maladies sont reconnues et les remèdes appliqués avec précision. De telles entreprises ne naissent ni du hasard ni d’une nature agissant d’elle-même : elles sont accomplies comme il convient par des hommes de discernement, pourvus de savoir et d’habileté pratique.
