Marks of the Mendicant: Solitary Wandering, Non-Injury, and the Kaivalya-Discipline
This line is not a doctrinal verse but a colophon: it signals the completion of a chapter within Mokṣadharma, framing the surrounding material as part of a liberation-oriented ethical discourse presented in response to Śuka’s inquiry.
Vyāsa’s speaker tag and the colophon together mark a formal transition: the chapter concludes, and the text identifies its location—Śānti Parva → Mokṣadharma section → the sequence connected with Śuka’s questions.
