आत्मदर्शन-उपदेशः (Ātma-darśana Upadeśa) — Mind, Senses, and the All-pervading Self

एतां द्वादशसाहसत्रीं युगाख्यां कवयो विदु: । सहस्रपरिवर्त तद्‌ ब्राह्मं दिवसमुच्यते,इस प्रकार देवताओंके बारह हजार वर्षोका एक चतुर्युग होता है; यह विद्वानोंकी मान्यता है। एक सहस्र चतुर्युगको ब्रह्माका एक दिन बताया जाता है

etāṃ dvādaśasāhastrīṃ yugākhyāṃ kavayo viduḥ | sahasraparivarta tad brāhmaṃ divasam ucyate ||

Vyāsa dit : Les sages savent que l’âge nommé yuga équivaut à douze mille (années) des dieux. Mille révolutions de ce genre (du cycle des quatre yuga) sont déclarées constituer un seul jour de Brahmā. Ainsi, l’enseignement inscrit le temps des hommes dans un ordre cosmique immense, appelant à l’humilité et à la constance dans le dharma au milieu des montées et des déclins des âges.
