एवमुक्त: स विदप्रर्षि: सुद्युम्नमिदमब्रवीत् । प्रतिश्रुत्य करिष्येति श्रुत्वा तत् कर्तुमहसि
Translation
Ainsi interpellé, le rishi brahmane Likhita dit à Sudyumna : «Ô roi, promets d’abord : “Je le ferai.” Ensuite écoute mon dessein, et l’ayant entendu, tu dois l’accomplir sur-le-champ.»
