भीष्म उवाच मोक्षधर्मेषु नियतो लघ्वाहारो जितेन्द्रिय: । प्राप्नोति ब्रह्मण: स्थान तत्परं प्रकृतेर्ध्ुवम्‌,भीष्मजीने कहा--युधिष्ठिर! जो पुरुष मिताहारी और जितेन्द्रिय होकर मोक्षोपयोगी धर्मोंके पालनमें संलग्न रहता है, वही प्रकृतिसे परे अविनाशी ब्रह्मपदको प्राप्त होता है

bhīṣma uvāca: mokṣadharmeṣu niyato laghvāhāro jitendriyaḥ | prāpnoti brahmaṇaḥ sthānaṃ tat-paraṃ prakṛter dhruvam ||

Bhīṣma dit : «Yudhiṣṭhira ! L’homme qui s’astreint aux dharmas menant à la délivrance—mangeant avec mesure et maîtrisant ses sens—atteint la demeure de Brahman, au-delà de la Prakṛti et éternelle.»
