Brahmacarya-Upāya: Jñāna, Śauca, and the Mind’s Role in Desire
This line functions as a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it marks the completion of a chapter framed as a Manu–Bṛhaspati dialogue within Mokṣadharma, indicating that the preceding discussion belongs to the liberation-oriented ethical and spiritual instruction characteristic of this section.
Bhīṣma’s discourse to Yudhiṣṭhira continues through the Mokṣadharma material; here the text signals that the chapter presented as a dialogue between Manu and Bṛhaspati has ended—an editorial/narrative closure before the next chapter begins.
