प्राणिनां जननं सत्यं सत्यं संततिरेव च । सत्येन वायुरभ्येति सत्येन तपते रवि:,सत्य प्राणियोंको जन्म देनेवाला (पिता) है, सत्य ही संतति है, सत्यसे ही वायु चलती है और सत्यसे ही सूर्य तपता है
prāṇināṁ jananaṁ satyaṁ satyaṁ saṁtatir eva ca | satyena vāyur abhyeti satyena tapate raviḥ ||
Le brāhmane proclame : « La Vérité est la source génératrice des êtres vivants, et la Vérité elle-même est leur lignée qui se poursuit. Par la vérité le vent se met en mouvement, et par la vérité le soleil donne sa chaleur — signe que l’ordre du monde et l’ordre moral de la vie reposent sur satya. »
