Adhyāya 180: Jīva, Śarīra, and the Fire Analogy (भृगु–भरद्वाज संवादः)
भीष्म उवाच अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम् । प्रह्मादस्यथ च संवादं मुनेराजगरस्य च,भीष्मजी कहते हैं--राजन्! इस विषयमें भी प्रह्लाद तथा अजगरवृत्तिसे रहनेवाले एक मुनिके संवादरूप प्राचीन इतिहासका दृष्टान्त दिया जाता है
bhīṣma uvāca | atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṁ purātanam | prahlādasya tathā ca saṁvādaṁ muner ajagarasya ca ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Ô Roi, en cette matière aussi l’on cite un ancien exemple : le dialogue entre Prahlāda et un sage qui vivait selon la “voie du python” (demeurant immobile, recevant ce qui vient sans s’efforcer).»
