बक-गौतमाख्यानम् / The Baka–Gautama Account
On Gratitude and Friendship Ethics
ततो वर्षसहस्रान्ते वितानमकरोत प्रभु: । विधिना कल्पदृष्टेन यथावच्चोपपादितम्
tato varṣa-sahasrānte vitānam akarot prabhuḥ | vidhinā kalpa-dṛṣṭena yathāvac copapāditam, tathā brahmarṣibhiś caiva sadasyaiḥ upaśobhitam |
Bhīṣma dit : «Puis, lorsqu’un millier d’années se fut écoulé, le Seigneur fit préparer le pavillon sacrificiel. Il fut disposé avec une exactitude parfaite selon le rite tel qu’il est conçu dans les ordonnances sacrées, et encore embelli par les brahmarṣi et les officiants assemblés. Ainsi, dans l’ordre prescrit, le grand sacrifice fut mis en mouvement — image du dharma exprimée par un rituel discipliné, une direction savante et une responsabilité commune.»
