कृपणान् सतत दृष्टवा ततः संजायते कृपा । धर्मनिष्ठां यदा वेत्ति तदा शाम्यति सा कृपा
kṛpaṇān satataṃ dṛṣṭvā tataḥ saṃjāyate kṛpā | dharmaniṣṭhāṃ yadā vetti tadā śāmyati sā kṛpā ||
Bhīṣma dit : À force de voir des gens avares et mesquins, une mesquinerie semblable naît en soi. Mais lorsqu’on en vient à reconnaître l’esprit généreux de ceux qui sont établis dans le dharma, cette mesquinerie s’apaise et disparaît.
