वरमस्मै प्रयच्छेयुस्ततो जीवेदयं शिशु: । यदि भगवान् शिव, कुमार कार्तिकेय, ब्रह्माजी और भगवान् विष्णु इसे वर दें तो यह बालक जी सकता है
varam asmai prayaccheyus tato jīved ayaṃ śiśuḥ | yadi bhagavān śivaḥ, kumāraḥ kārtikeyaḥ, brahmājī ca bhagavān viṣṇuś ca asmai varaṃ dadyuḥ, tadā ayaṃ bālakaḥ jīvet |
Jambuka dit : «Si l’on lui accordait une grâce, alors ce nourrisson pourrait vivre. Oui, ce n’est que si le bienheureux Seigneur Śiva, le jeune dieu Kārtikeya, Brahmā et le Seigneur Viṣṇu lui conféraient un don, que cet enfant pourrait survivre.»
जम्बुक उवाच
When circumstances exceed human capacity, the tradition frames hope in terms of divine anugraha (grace): life may be restored only through a boon from the highest deities, emphasizing humility and reliance on higher moral-spiritual order.
Jambuka describes an infant’s survival as contingent upon receiving a divine boon, explicitly naming Śiva, Kārtikeya, Brahmā, and Viṣṇu as the only powers capable of reversing the child’s fate.
