अध्याय १५२: लोभः पापस्य मूलम् — Greed as the Root of Wrongdoing

स्वकर्माण्यभिसंधाय नाभिनन्दति मे मन: । “यह सारा पाप मुझमें मौजूद है; अतः मैं चिन्तासे उसी प्रकार जल रहा हूँ

svakarmāṇy abhisandhāya nābhinandati me manaḥ |

Bhīṣma dit : «Quand je médite sur mes propres actes, mon esprit ne trouve aucune joie. Tout le fardeau du péché semble demeurer en moi ; c’est pourquoi l’inquiétude me brûle, comme si l’on m’avait placé au milieu du feu. En me souvenant de mes actions fautives, mon cœur ne peut, de lui-même, s’apaiser.»
