उन्माथमप्यथादाय चाण्डालो वीक्ष्य सर्वश:,भरतश्रेष्ठ] चाण्डालने उस जालको लेकर उसे सब ओरसे उलट-पलटकर देखा और निराश होकर क्षणभरमें उस स्थानसे हट गया और अन्तमें अपने घरको चला गया
unmātham apy athādāya cāṇḍālo vīkṣya sarvaśaḥ
Bhīṣma dit : «Le Caṇḍāla prit à son tour cet instrument et l’examina de tous côtés. N’y trouvant ni utilité ni espoir, il se retira de cet endroit en un instant et, pour finir, rentra chez lui — montrant comment le désir s’effondre en déception lorsqu’on cherche un profit là où il n’est pas dû.»
