छिन्नं तु तन्तुबाहुल्यं तन्तुरेको5वशेषितः
chinnaṃ tu tantubāhulyaṃ tantur eko 'vaśeṣitaḥ
Bhishma dit : «Bien que la multitude des fils ait été tranchée, il demeure encore un seul fil.» Dans son sens éthique, l’image suggère que, lorsque bien des liens enchevêtrants sont rompus, un attachement subtil ou un reste de causalité peut subsister ; il faut le reconnaître et le dénouer pour une liberté entière.
