युधिछ्िर उवाच आशभ्यन्तरे प्रकुपिते बाहरी चोपनिपीडिते । क्षीणे कोशे श्रुते मन्त्रे कि कार्यमवशिष्यते

Transliteration

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | āśābhyantare prakupite bāharī copanipīḍite | kṣīṇe kośe śrute mantre kiṁ kāryam avaśiṣyate ||

Translation

Yudhiṣṭhira dit : «Grand-père, lorsque l’espoir au-dedans est bouleversé, lorsque les forces du dehors pressent durement, lorsque le trésor est épuisé et que le conseil secret du roi est devenu public, quelle voie d’action lui reste-t-il ?»
